Il 18 agosto uscirà al cinema Blue Beetle, il prossimo film DC con Xolo Maridueña (Miguel Diaz in Cobra Kai) nei panni del protagonista del film: Jaime Reyes, un adolescente Latino-Americano di El Paso (Texas), il quale è stato il terzo personaggio (il primo ha debuttato addirittura nel 1939) ad indossare i panni di Blue Beetle, dopo che una misteriosa reliquia-scarabeo gli si è attaccato alla schiena, donandogli la possibilità di attivare un’armatura controllabile col pensiero, dotata di sconfinate abilità.
Recentemente si sono tenute le prime proiezioni stampa del film, a seguito delle quali i vari giornalisti hanno pubblicato le loro prime impressioni sui social… che sono decisamente positive!
Il film ha infatti convinto la critica, il personaggio è piaciuto molto (anche grazie all’ottima interpretazione di Xolo Maridueña) e si tratta di un’ottima introduzione al suo mondo, con tanto cuore, ottime scene d’azione ed una dinamica familiare vincente:
Il film su Blue Beetle è grandioso. Alcune volte è troppo giocoso o bambinesco per me, altre volte ho riso molto. Il costume è grandioso, proprio come la rappresentazione della cultura latinoamericana.

Blue Beetle è decisamente meglio del previsto. Il regista ha aggiunto il suo tocco al genere supereroistico con un film incentrato su una famiglia molto unita e sulla cultura latinoamericana.

Non è soltanto una fantastica introduzione a Jaime Reyes come eroe, ma anche una lettera d’amore alla cultura latinoamericana, che basa le sue radici sulla famiglia. Divertente, pieno di azione, grandi effetti visivi (il costume è grandioso) e con tanto cuore, il film è una vittoria per i fan e per il futuro del DC Universe.

Blue Beetle è il mio film preferito DC dopo i Batman di Nolan. È ricco di azione, una storia di supereroi che intrattiene molto e che ha come elemento principale la famiglia. Il film è unico e presenta al mondo la famiglia e la cultura messicana del protagonista.
